Plymouth Gin is supporting the Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT) regeneration of an area of seagrass the size of 20 football pitches just off the coast near its distillery. Over the past three years it has marked the partnership with a specially designed limited-edition bottle and donates £1 to the cause for each bottle sold in the UK.

The inspiration for the design of its third limited-edition bottle in 2025 came from the vibrant sea life that the brand’s donations are helping to protect and restore. When displayed side by side, all three limited-edition bottles tell a powerful story of ocean restoration, showcasing a journey from calm, open waters to a thriving marine ecosystem filled with diverse sea life and flourishing seagrass.

The bottle design is created using a recyclable spray to minimize plastic use, and, as in previous years, Plymouth Gin again donates £1 to the Ocean Conservation Trust for each bottle sold in the UK.

“The relationship our consumers have with Plymouth Gin is stronger than ever and we believe that our long-term collaboration with the Ocean Conservation Trust has contributed significantly to this. Why? We are able to bring our commitment to sustainability to life through a partnership that allows consumers to make a difference and act,” says Toni Ingram, Strategy, Portfolio & Innovation Director Gin.

Plymouth Gin’s work with the OCT has, so far, centred on the charity’s ‘Blue Meadows’ project, which looks to protect local seagrass meadows.

While seagrass plays a vital role in seas by helping to maintain a healthy marine environment they have been disappearing at an alarming rate, with around half of known seagrass meadows in the UK now lost1.

“We are bringing our commitment to sustainability to life through a partnership making a difference.
